		<description><![CDATA[On Thursday evening, March 1, at 7 PM the Statesboro Regional Library will ring with music, celebrating the birthday of the legendary Dr. Seuss and kicking off a group of special enrichment programs designed and presented by our very own music legend, Dr. Michael Braz. 		<title>Teens Valentine Chocolate Party</title>
		<description><![CDATA[
Franklin Memorial Library will host a Teen’s Valentine Chocolate Party, Monday, Feb. 13 at 4 p.m. Teens are invited to indulge themselves in everyone&#8217;s favorite comfort food (chocolate); make chocolate treats; play chocolate games and win chocolate prizes. Teens are also encouraged to create a 2-8 line Valentine Expression and submit to the library by Feb. 11. A prize will be awarded for the most creative expression. Participation is open to area middle and high school students only.

		<title>Go Fish Family Passes</title>
		<description><![CDATA[Once again, Georgia’s public libraries are making it easier than ever for patrons to explore and learn about the state’s outdoor attractions. Building on Georgia Public Library Service’s relationship with the Georgia Department of Natural Resources (DNR) and the popular State Park ParkPass program, public libraries across the state will begin loaning family passes for the Go Fish Education Center in Perry this month. 		<title>Saying goodbye to Tip</title>
		<description><![CDATA[The library and the community lost a dear friend earlier this week when Tip, one of the area’s most devoted and best loved therapy dogs, died suddenly of cancer. Her friend and handler, Leslie Sprando, sadly confirmed that Tip was diagnosed with lymphoma and died following surgery on Wednesday, February 1. She was only 10 years old.  Tip was a beautiful border collie whose registered name was CH Wagons ho Frenzy CD, OA, NAJ, RAE. 		<title>Food for Fines</title>
		<description><![CDATA[The Statesboro Regional Library presents one of our most popular events, “Food for Fines” beginning Monday, Feb. 6, 2012 and running through Saturday, Feb. 18.  Library patrons may bring in one canned item in exchange for $1.00 in regular overdue fines on library materials for up to $5.00.

		<title>Reading to Rover</title>
		<description><![CDATA[The Statesboro Regional Library is going to the dogs, literally!  A program called “Reading to Rover” is held at the  in the Children&#8217;s Activity Room on the 4th Monday of each month from 5:00-6:00pm.   Four certified therapy dogs are available for a very special activity for children ages 2-10. Each child may spend time reading a book to each canine companion. The amount of time spent with each dog will depend upon the number of people attending the program. 		<title>Meet the Author: Ted Dunagan</title>
		<description><![CDATA[On February 9th at 7:00pm the Statesboro Public Library will be welcoming author Ted Dunagan for a presentation and signing of his books.  Ted Dunagan was named a Georgia Author of the Year in 2009 for his debut novel A Yellow Watermelon and again in 2011 for his second book.Secret of the Satilfa. Written for youth, these books speak to adults as well.  In the best Southern literary tradition, they explore poverty and racial segregation through the eyes of two twelve-year-old friends. The third in the series, Trouble on the Tombigbee, was published in 2011.  ...]]></description>
